Summary

Volume Booster is a free and open source browser extension that adjusts the playback volume of audio and video media in the active browser tab. We do not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal information.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information, browsing history, page content, account details, payment information, analytics data, or any other user data.

The extension only stores the selected volume percentage for a tab during the browser session so the chosen volume level can continue to apply while you use that tab.

How Extension Permissions Are Used

activeTab: used to apply your selected volume level to the tab you are currently using after you open the extension popup.
Host permissions: used so Volume Booster can work on webpages that contain audio or video media.
scripting: used to run the packaged content script that connects page media to the Web Audio API and applies your selected gain level.
storage: used to remember the selected volume percentage for each tab during the browser session.

These permissions are used only to provide volume adjustment functionality. They are not used to collect or transmit data.

Remote Code

Volume Booster does not execute remotely hosted code. All JavaScript used by the extension is packaged with the extension. External links are standard hyperlinks only and are not used to load or run extension code.

Because we do not collect user data, we do not sell, rent, share, transfer, or disclose user data to third parties.
